Doha-Sana
The Syrian national judo player, Suleiman Al-Rifai, won the bronze medal on the first day of the Arab Championship, which is currently being held in the Qatari capital, Doha.
Al-Rifai's bronze came in the 60 kg competition, after his victory over the Jordanian champion, his loss with the Algerian champion in the Golden Score, and his victory over the Lebanese champion.
300 players from thirteen Arab countries are participating in the tournament: Egypt, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Djibouti, Bahrain, Morocco, Algeria, Iraq, Tunisia, Kuwait, Lebanon, in addition to Syria.
