Schweinsteiger shows rapid ski pictures: fans answer with nasty Neuer sayings

Soccer World Champion Bastian Schweinsteiger is also a very good skier.

Tutoring hours for Manuel Neuer are therefore required under his latest video.

Munich – Bastian Schweinsteiger has won almost everything there is to win in football.

This is another reason why he is a living legend for fans of FC Bayern Munich and the German national team.

Schweini could easily have had a world career in another sport.

Bastian Schweinsteiger was an excellent skier in his youth

The later midfield director was one of the greatest ski talents in Germany in his youth.

One of his best buddies and biggest competitors from that time is none other than Felix Neureuther - later gold, silver and bronze medalist at world championships.

When both were 13 years old, Schweinsteiger even came out on top in a race in Brixen.

Years later, Neureuther would say jokingly: "The sting is still deep in me because of this last race." Schweini then concentrated on football, Neureuther on skiing - and it should go very well for both of them.

The slalom star has repeatedly attested to Schweinsteiger's "outstanding" skills on the boards in the recent past.

And the fans of the football icon could now see them for themselves, because: The 38-year-old shared a video on which he can be seen on a slope.

There, Schweinsteiger pulls nice curves in the snow - including first-class posture grades!

"Kaiserwetter", wrote the Brazil hero of 2014.

And his followers then let off steam in the comment column.

While many a supporter asked where Schweini is currently on the road, others even drew Neureuther comparisons again.

Most of the comments refer to another Schweinsteiger companion: Manuel Neuer!

He was so badly injured while ski touring in December that he can no longer help his FC Bayern this season.

In allusion to the goalkeeper's broken leg, there were some nasty sayings from the fans under the Schweinsteiger video.

A selection of user comments:

• “Maybe give Manu a few ski lessons.

  But better only after the end of the active career.”

• "In contrast to the new, the Basti can ski."

• "If you Manu had learned to ski...a lot would have gone better."

• "Don't do Manu Neuer."

• "The main thing is that it doesn't end like Manu did."

Bayern captain Neuer had to put up with a lot of ridicule from the fans after his interview.

However, ending his career is out of the question for him – he is now already working on his comeback.
