The racing season in Formula 1 kicked off this evening (Sunday) with the Grand Prix in Bahrain, when the reigning champion, Max Verstappen from Red Bull finished first and the second place on the podium was taken by his teammate Sergio Perez.
Third finished Fernando Alonso who joined Aston Martin, and arranged for his new company a nice achievement already in the opening race.
The Dutchman of Red Bull proved already in the first race of the season what was quite clear to everyone, his car is the fastest and he is the best driver.
Mercedes recorded a disappointing Grand Prix, with Lewis Hamilton finishing fifth and George Russell seventh.

Aston Martin, which can be satisfied with Alonso's first podium of the season, also picked up the sixth place with Lance Stroll, who will also win first points, and appears to be one of the companies that can become dominant this year.
Ferrari's Charles Leclerc, one of the favorites to fight Verstappen for the championship, did not finish the race due to a car problem, as did Oscar Piastri of McLaren and Esteban Ocon of Alpin.
Carlos Sainz also from Ferrari finished fourth and missed the podium.
