– After the hard-fought game against TSV Unterföhring, the volleyball players from TSV Wartenberg were able to lift the district cup on Thursday.
The team around coach Stefan Huber convinced with team spirit, patience and clever attacks.
TSV Wartenberg - TSV Unterföhring 3: 1 (25:21, 20:25, 25:13, 25:20) - At first, Wartenberg had to struggle with inaccuracies and coordination difficulties in the Strogenhalle.
A close exchange of blows developed in which the guests did not give up the lead.
Again and again, however, captain Hannah Schwarz managed to catch up with strong service series and win the set.
The second round was similarly close.
Unterfoehring stood securely in defense and at the same time found the gaps in the Wartenberger field.
After losing the set, Wartenberg once again collected all his concentration, scored with well-placed attacks and powerful serves.
Unterföhring held back, reacted quickly and confidently in defense.
However, the women from Wartenberg showed patience and perseverance.
Finally, Simone Kalushke turned the match ball into a celebrated victory with a well-placed attack.
With the triumph in the district cup, the first goal has been achieved.
The rise in the league is to be bagged next Saturday.
