Washington stopped tonight (between Saturday and Sunday) after two important victories, after surrendering 116:109 to Toronto after overtime, in the second game in 48 hours against the Raptors, their direct rivals in the playoff and play-in battles.
The Wizards squandered a good offensive day that included 14 3-pointers at 58% percent, after Bradley Beal missed a chance to decide the game on the last attack of legal time, and the entire team froze in overtime, during which they lost 11:4.
Following the loss, Washington dropped to a record of 33 losses compared to 30 wins.
The 9th ranked Raptors in the East now lead them by a game, with a record of 33:32.
In most phases of the game, Washington had to manage without Danny Abdia, who reported stomach pains, went down to the locker room in the first half and did not return.
Avdia managed to play 7 minutes during which he got into a foul problem with 3 of them.
He took one shot from outside the arc and missed, and also contributed two rebounds before exiting and not being able to return.

The Wizards received 22 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists and two blocks from Kristaps Porzingis, Bradley Beal scored 21 and dished out 10 assists, but struggled against the Raptors' double guards and Dyke was only 7 of 22 from the field, and Delon Wright shone with 18 points, 7 assists and - 6 kidnappings.
The Raptors were led by Gary Trent Jr. with 26, 5 rebounds and 4 assists from the bench, Fred VanVleet with 25 and 10 assists (including two decisive 3-pointers in overtime) and Pascal Siakam with 15, 7 assists and 4 steals.
The Wizards will try to get back to winning ways tomorrow, when they host Eastern Conference leader Milwaukee.
It is still not clear if Danny Avdia will be able to play.
