That was a bitter bankruptcy for the SpVgg handball men.
Altenerding – At times the spectators in the Semptsporthalle couldn't believe how negligently the Altenerdinger Handball team dealt with their chances in the game against MTV Pfaffenhofen.
In the end, the offensive dilemma caused an unexpected 26:31 (10:16) defeat for the district league team.
The start went completely wrong, after five minutes it was 0:4 from SpVgg's point of view.
A scene at 1:5 was characteristic of the initial efforts: Moritz Sturm came free to the end, but tried an art throw and failed.
This resulted in the counterattack to 1:6, a little later the beaver men were 2:10 behind.
Niklas Fleps tried to shake up his fellow men with a loud “Let's go”.
And it actually got better.
The ball ran well in the backcourt via Fleps, Severin Lößl and Christian Loris, and the fast middle also brought success a few times.
However, there was bad luck: At the score of 7:13, goalkeeper Otto Donaubauer made a sensational save, but the rebound landed on the opponent, who then netted.
After the 9:14, the Altenerdinger had various opportunities to shorten further.
But steps in Jakob Köhler's counter-attack, misses by Moritz Sturm and Christian Loris - the ball just didn't want to go into the MTV box.
Only a successful seven-meter shot by the often unlucky Loris brought the 10:14.
The last two goals of the first period belonged to Pfaffenhofen, the guests added two more goals after the break to make it 18:10.
Now we even have to be careful that we don't end up in danger of relegation.

The SpVgg did not give up yet.
"Talk, hands up on defence," Mesiarik called from the sidelines.
At the front he tried two rotations: Quirin Huber and Jakob Köhler did their job quite well in some cases.
When Tim Steininger later found a gap in the Pfaffenhofen defense, the score was only 15:19, new hope arose.
From 5:21 p.m., however, the front jammed again.
Mistakes came back in the important phase in particular, while the guests scored easy goals from the outside positions.
Not even the strong Niklas Fleps could do anything, who now convinced with a few saves in the Altenerdinger box.
With a shot to 18:26, Christian Loris provided a wake-up call again, and Altenerding caught up again to 22:27.
But there was nothing more in it.
