The Referees Union published today (Monday) its response to last night's refereeing events in the match between Beitar Jerusalem and Hapoel Tel Aviv at Teddy Stadium - which ended 3:1 to the Reds.
Among other things, the union stated that Yoon Nicolasco's foul on Yahav Gorfinkel, in which the Beitar player sent his foot in the direction of the Hapoel defender's face, was Hebrew violence that requires a red card.
In addition, the union justified the decision of the referee of the match, Yigal Fried, to draw a red card to Al-Yam Kanzpolski for a serious game offense: "It is a hit at a high point of contact, at speed and through exposed plugs."
