Munich – The Norwegian biathlete Johannes Thingnes Bö has completely surpassed his competitors this winter.
He was able to win eleven of the 14 World Cup races and is at the top of the overall classification with a clear lead.
At the World Championships in Oberhof, which took place from early to mid-February, he went one better.
Because there he won five times gold, one silver, one bronze - and thus stood on the podium in every men's competition.

Johannes Thingnes Bö reveals the secret of success
As Johannes Thingnes Bö revealed in an interview, his success is not only based on his own outstanding skills and the support of his teammates, coaches and technicians, but above all on his family.
Just a few days ago, the 29-year-old biathlon superstar and his wife Hedda announced that they were expecting their second child.
"It was kind of our little secret this winter," said Bö the Norwegian TV channel TV2.
But now that his wife's belly has gotten too big to keep it a secret, he's also really happy to be able to spread the news.

Johannes Thingnes Bö: "Something like this brings happiness and joy"
Johannes Thingnes Bö described the baby as a kind of "small secret weapon".
"It's really nice to have something else to look forward to.
Something bigger than biathlon,” said the 29-year-old.
His second child was not only an additional motivation, but also a great help.
"It just brings happiness and joy."
His big brother Tarjei Bö, who also celebrates great successes in biathlon, had a similar experience.
He and his girlfriend Gita became parents for the first time last September, and Bö found out about it shortly before the start of the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
After this news, he apparently got everything out of himself, winning two gold, one silver and one bronze.

“That is clearly the squall tactic.
We begin the pregnancy before big championships," joked Tarjei Bö, also with a view to his brother's outstanding success at the Biathlon World Championships in Oberhof.
He himself was very nervous before the Olympic Games.
“But just before departure I found out that Gita was pregnant.
Suddenly the Olympics were no longer so important and nerve-wracking.
I got a deep rest.” Really sweet motivation.
While Johannes Thingnes Bö cleaned up at the Biathlon World Championships, Katharina Althaus is currently causing a sensation at the Nordic World Ski Championships.
Things are also going really well for the ski jumper away from the ski jumps.
