Langengeisling – Sabine Ziegler brought a present with her on her debut.

The new deputy BLSV district chairman presented FC Langengeisling with a certificate and a check for 200 euros at the annual general meeting.

It was a gift from the Bavarian State Sports Association for the club's 100th birthday.

It was already in 2020, but as is well known, all events had been canceled due to the pandemic.

Ziegler praised the FCL "for its unique development, not only in terms of football, but that the club always has an open ear for innovations".

The clubhouse and the entire sports park are the best proof of “what is possible when you stick together and work together”.

Mayor Max Gotz also relies on the welcoming culture of the association.

"Nowhere else in Erding is there as much construction as here." 450 new residents would be added to Langengeisling in the next two years.

"Sport has an integrative power." It is all the more important to make the new citizens a suitable offer.

So it fits that the FCL has opened another division for a few days.

Chairman Sepp Kaiser announced that a cycling department had been founded on the initiative of ex-soccer player Sebastian Schimschal.

17 athletes have already joined.

The 100-strong tennis department is already looking forward to the start of the game.

The Herren 30, which is a team together with SpVgg Altenerding, plays as a promoted team in the state league.

"The women's 50 are our flagship in the state league 2," enthuses department head Klaus Eicher, who is himself represented with the men's 50 in the southern league 1.

The most important action outside the square: “We want to exchange our plastic benches for wooden ones.” Sponsors are still being sought for the pieces, which cost 320 euros.

Financially, the association could also put the FCL on an even more solid footing.

At least that is the hope of FCL boss Kaiser, who is happy about the vigor of the new department management.

"Alex Strecker and his people have big plans," says Kaiser, who was also happy that the members unanimously decided to increase the fee by twelve euros (we reported).

"We would like to leave our successors with a good cash register," said Kaiser, indicating that there will be some changes at the annual general meeting next year.

The chairman broke a lance for the city: "Where support is possible, we get it." The floodlights are equipped with LED lamps.

It doesn't cost us anything apart from an advertising banner.” And Kaiser didn't forget his own hard-working members either.

On the one hand the Monday seniors who keep the sports facility in good shape, but also the footballers on their work assignments and the Dornauer family, who - like on Friday - scatter the pitches at five o'clock in the morning if necessary.

"You won't find anything like this anywhere else," says Kaiser.
