Munich – After the 2-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain, FC Bayern's defense in particular was praised over the green clover.
In the first and second leg, the record champions kept the zero against the French star ensemble.
Holger Badstuber, once placed in the center of defence, does not want to join in the praise and instead criticized the performance fluctuations of the FCB defence.

When asked about the 22 goals conceded after 23 games, Badstuber added: "In view of the expenditure that has been made in this area in recent years, I think that's too much."
In recent years, Hasan Salihamidžić had to stabilize the defense with mega deals from Lucas Hernández (80 million euros) and Dayot Upamecano (42 million euros) – with moderate success.

Badstuber does not see the defense as the sole reason for the goals conceded in the current season.
“Even in the Bundesliga, every player has to be 100 percent ready for it.
It's just a mental thing how serious the games are," said the ex-national player.
At Bayern, one or the other should react with surprise to the criticism.
In the Bundesliga, Bayern have by far the best defense in the league.
Meanwhile, in the Champions League, FC Bayern had a clean sheet in seven out of eight games.
