Is that what you're coming for? How long will fans boo their team - voila! sport

They are grumpy and sour, nervous from the first moment, betraying the players as well but mainly their essence. Eran Zahavi complained about Maccabi Tel Aviv fans creating a stressful atmosphere at home, but this is a phenomenon

There is a taboo among athletes that you should never criticize your team's crowd, but Eran Zahavi was too discouraged after Maccabi Tel Aviv's loss to Hapoel Jerusalem last Saturday.

He threw accusations everywhere, said that "everyone" was to blame for the situation, including the players and the management, then he dared, took a breath and also added criticism to the stands: yes, the audience is also not okay.

It is known that it is very dangerous for a soccer player to criticize the fans, because fans are indeed dedicated and loyal, but up to a certain limit, and if he damages their honor, they may turn on him and never forgive him, and thus Zahavi said things quite implicitly, while walking on his balls, but the message was clear: friend Hey, you suck.

after the home loss, Eran Zahavi also visited the Maccabi Tel Aviv fans.

Kanikovski complained: "We felt that the crowd was not with us"

Karanka: "The fans? The atmosphere is not pleasant right now, the players need them"

It is clear that the audience and the fans are not to blame for the situation of Maccabi Tel Aviv (which has not lost at home in 26 consecutive games), and of course Zahabi did not aim for this, but the captain complained.

He feels, there is a tense atmosphere here.

Too many impatient, grumpy and disgruntled fans, who create an unpleasant atmosphere.

Since Cranka made a substitution against their liking and put in two defensive midfielders instead of attacking players, everything went up.

Booing, grumbling, anger and nerves at every back pass.

And this is a fact: from that moment Maccabi Tel Aviv disbanded.

Sports fans pride themselves on their influence on the game, and rightfully so.

In the USA, teams play an entire season just to gain the home advantage, with the premise being that a home field, in the eyes of your audience, has a critical effect on the game, on ability, confidence and performance, and therefore also on the final result. It's not just familiarity with the facilities and a comfortable feeling of home, but the wind at the back. Ask anyone who was in Qatar, how Argentina's crowd gave it strength that no other team had.

At the same time, a crowd not only overwhelms a team, it also paralyzes the opponent, discourages it, takes it out of concentration.

He influences refereeing decisions (when an entire stadium is on its feet after a foul, it's hard not to issue a yellow card), he gives energy to the players (who feel they are done but suddenly find the strength to run), and in general, more often than not he simply electrifies the place, raises the pulse of everyone who is present, gives depth to the events.

turns them from just a sporting competition into a supreme experience.

But sometimes the effect is negative.

Not just depressing, but also really paralyzing.

Players are afraid to touch the ball.

Prefer to avoid, run to the corner.

Live with the feeling that they are under a hostile eye.

When it comes to attacking players who require creativity and joy of play, they don't stand a chance.

They are actually offended.

hurt

bareheaded.

We just want this nightmare to end.

The cliché in Israel says that no matter where you sit, behind you will be the most annoying fan in the stadium.

Sometimes it's hard to believe what disgruntled types come to the football fields.

They are not necessarily violent, not in terms of beatings, but simply negative.

angry all the time.

Permanent sour face.

Always feeling dissatisfied.

More than they want to give, they demand to receive.

Many of them live the old and irrelevant cliché, that "you go to football to vent".

At times you hear the voices of the disgruntled person next to you, and wonder: beyond the repulsive violence and the lack of proportion, what did he come here for anyway?

To get angry and curse everyone?

whistle and interrupt?

Was it important to him that everyone knew that he hated everyone?

that he despises everyone?

That no one has a clue what to do but him?

That's what you paid a hundred shekels for, bothered, drove all the way here, stood in line, to be frustrated from the first second?

Do you even like your team?

And of course there is no intention here to claim that these are only Maccabi Tel Aviv fans.

Last Saturday it was them, but they are everywhere, in every group, a matter of circularity and depends on successes and expectations.

The only thing that remains stable is the steam.

Lots of steam.

The damage of negativity is immediate.

It is rare that boos wake up a team and restore it.

They usually drop her.

Players feel betrayed, they find it hard to believe that this is what they get at home.

And since some of these negative fans are already veterans in the fields, they must know that there is no point in venting their anger at the moment, but they cannot control it under the emotional load, disappointment and frustration.

It is stronger than them.

Then when they get home they will surely regret it, they will realize that it was unnecessary, but it will be too late.

Stupidest of all is the ceremony where the players come to the stands, and the angry crowd shouts "don't come".

Everyone's miss (Photo: Danny Maron)

Particularly stupid is the angry reaction to the players after a loss, who nevertheless come to thank the audience in the stands as part of the forced ritual, and the fans in response send them back to the dressing room and shout "don't come".

Why don't they come?

Of course, fans have the right to protest, sometimes it's their duty, but until when will an audience believe the clichés about "heart and soul" and understand that it's not just a matter of desire, and sometimes things don't happen as they hoped?

No one is looking down on you, get over it.

There are things that are already clear to everyone: the hypocrisy of fans who sing to the team "We will love you to death" but go against it when it loses, or fans who demand an identity and then curse home players, or the short memory and the good power of cursing towards players who were their heroes just a few years ago.

It is also clear that a thousand boos are louder than 20 thousand silent ones.

But the essential problem is the energy.

To take a beloved place, and defile it.

This demanding attitude, of a fan who is looking forward to the show.

All his life he flaunts the fact that he is not just a customer, not a consumer - and here he is demanding financial compensation.

In the end it's a miss of the whole experience, and what it should and could be.
