The Golden State star gave a performance in the victory over Milwaukee, including decisive baskets and a historic block, Steve Kerr reminds and warns: "This is a team that took a championship four times"

Summary: All Saturday goals in the 27th round of the English league, 11.3 (Sport1)

It is not clear what can be expected this season from Golden State and Stephen Curry.

One night they look tired, satiated, unfocused, and the next night they prove that the spirit of an invincible champion still beats in them.

Today (between Saturday and Sunday) Steph and the Warriors reminded again what made them the best of all.

Kerry, for example, not only made winning and decisive moves, in the USA they even claim that "again he had that look in his eyes", of the spirit of competitiveness, of a champion who has been eulogized. This was the case with 19 seconds to go, after he scored another big three-pointer that equaled 111 :111 against Milwaukee and forced overtime, after burying a hard basket in the face of Javon Carter, who stuck to him with an aggressive guard, but again saw the star of the Warriors manage to slip away from him for a fraction of a second and sink a three. More on the subject just in time: Kerry exploded against

Kerry went down to the bench with a "frozen face", which reminded him who it was.

"I was tired," Kerry said.

"So I made a slow walk to the bench, to take advantage of the full three-minute timeout, not to shout because it requires oxygen. To save energy."

Kerry finished with 36 points, leading the Warriors to a 116:125 overtime victory over the hot Bucks.

22 of his points came in the fourth quarter and overtime -- on 8-of-11 from the field, including 4-of-7 from three.

He scored 11 points in the final two minutes of regulation, and virtually all but two of the fourth quarter points were his.

But it's not only that.

After that decisive three-pointer that established a tie, Steph provided a big move on the other side.

Milwaukee had one last ball with a chance to win, Jaro Holiday had already passed Devicenzo and entered the basket - but Kerry was there to block it with a beautiful roof.

"When you make some big shots in the moments of truth and then find yourself in a position to make a decisive move on the other end as well, I think it gives a good boost to everybody," Curry said.

"I think I got more compliments on that block in the locker room than any shot I made tonight."

It was Curry's first block in the final 10 seconds of the fourth quarter and a career-long regular-season interception (he's done it once in the playoffs).

"Steph was amazing, and he did it against one of the greatest guards in the league, Jrue Holiday," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.

"It's amazing to watch these two guys fight. Steph is fearless. It doesn't matter if he has a slow start or not going, he can turn it on at any time."

Golden State led by 13 points with 8:22 left in the third quarter.

But by the time there were two minutes left in the fourth, they were already behind by eight.

Kerry was on the bench for most of that stretch.

Kerr said he looked tired and wanted to save Kerr's energy for the latter part of the game.

He knew why.

"This is the challenge, to bring concentration and the ability to execute," Kerry said.

"Even when things don't go your way — that fourth quarter, when they go up eight points — and you slowly chip away at them, that's the belief you need that we can do it."

Kerry scored 15 of his 36 points in the clutch, outscoring the Bucks 11:15 alone.

15 points in the clutch is the fourth best performance of the season for a player in the league.

It's also the most in Steph's career.

But not just the offense: Golden State also made a clutch defensive push, forcing five Milwaukee turnovers.

Kerr chose to close with a five that included Kerry, Klay Thompson, Donte DiVincenzo, Draymond Green and Kwon Looney - partly because of a defensive mindset.

"When we play defense, we give ourselves a chance to win," Draymond said, "If you don't guard, it's dumb... If you don't play defense, then all your shots are tough. You're playing against a consistent defense every move. For us, it all starts with defense And we were able to demonstrate that tonight."

This victory came in the first game of the Warriors' three-game home streak, after three road losses.

Golden State is now on a seven-game winning streak at home, while losing eight straight away from the Chase Center.

The Warriors know they need to find the magic they have at home in the away games as well.

Kerry called it a "revolving door," where the Warriors look like they're poised to make the run they've been waiting for, only to lose the momentum the next night.

.

"That's the stuff of champions," Kerr said of how the Warriors closed out the game.

"This is the team that won four titles. They know how to do it. They did it tonight against probably the best team in the league."
