At the Zenith of Paris
It was by trying his shoulder which dislocated at the end of the fight against Tony Yoka that Carlos Takam appeared before the media on Saturday evening at the Zenith in Paris.
Marked but happy after his victory, the heavyweight especially wanted to greet his opponent, showing impressive humility:
“I prepared a lot for this fight, more than for Joshua's fight (in 2017, editor's note).
Tony, he's a prodigious young boxer and he's here.
He was determined to beat me and put my name on his record.
I was not disappointed, he really did his job.
He is a good boxer”
, confided the winner of the day.

Carlos Takam insisted on expressing his admiration for the Rio Olympic champion (2016).
A rival he knows well since the two men often trained before his compatriot turned professional after the Olympics.
“
I'm a big fan of himself if he's my little brother.
We worked a lot together in the past
,” insisted Takam, who did not appreciate the few whistles addressed to Yoka at the end of the fight: “
Have more respect for him.
Boo me but not him, frankly it hurts me
