The reaction of the fan LeBron James sat down next to her (from Twitter)
It is commonly thought that LeBron James manages to maintain his status as one of the best basketball players in the world thanks to a strict training regimen, but what if this is actually a byproduct of using banned substances?
This conspiracy theory was put forward this week by former UFC fighter Chael Sonnen, who was himself suspended from the industry for using performance-enhancing drugs.
According to Sonnen, James maintains high fitness even at the age of 38, thanks to what he calls the "Lance Armstrong diet" - which includes frequent use of the banned substance known as EPO.
This is a hormone whose role is to increase the rate of red blood cell production, and to provide a feeling of physical freshness even after high exertion.
Crazy work ethic, or a chemical shortcut?

Of course, Sonnen's claims have never been proven.
The NBA conducts routine drug testing, and James has never been caught on suspicion of using performance-enhancing substances, despite rumors swirling about him for years.
This season, LeBron averaged 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 6.4 assists, until he was injured recently and was sidelined for the coming period.
Since celebrating his 38th birthday in December, he has averaged 31.9 points per game.
By the way, Sonnen claimed that, like LeBron, Tiger Woods also uses EPO.
As in the case of LeBron, also regarding the legendary golfer, who won the Masters title in 2019 when he was 43 years old, no evidence or actual basis for the accusations was ever found.
