The regular season in the Premier League came to an end tonight (Monday) and now it is possible to make interim summaries, just before the start of the playoffs.
The goal average continued to improve in 2022/23 and stands at 2.56 per game (467 in 181 games), after 2.46 at the end of the regular season last year (increased slightly to 2.47 after the playoffs).
Two years ago the average was 2.23 goals per game (in the playoffs it rose to 2.34) and three years ago it was 2.30 (in the playoffs it rose to 2.35).

* This is the third time in a row that Maccabi Haifa stands at the top of the Premier League upon entering the playoffs.
In the previous two seasons she did it with 59 points and this season she improved to 62.
* The last time a team that led the league at the end of the regular season lost the championship in the playoffs, was in the dramatic offset season in 2009/10: Maccabi Haifa was ahead of Hapoel Tel Aviv by six points, which, according to the system, became three in the playoffs, and at the end the Reds were crowned thanks to a better goal difference.
* Maccabi Tel Aviv presents the best attack in the league with 53 goals and also the best defense of all with only 15 concedings.
* The one who conceded the most during the regular league is Beitar Jerusalem with 47 must-goal goals and the ones who scored the least of all are the top scorers Ness Ziona and Bnei Rayna (23 goals each).

* Maccabi Haifa finished the regular season as the best home team.
Only Maccabi Bnei Reina prevented them from a perfect balance as hosts, and they are also the only one who did not concede against them this season (0:0 in Haifa after a sensational 0:1 in Green).
* Hapoel Be'er Sheva is the best foreign team of all, and by a considerable margin.
The team from the capital of the Negev with 33 points as a guest out of a possible 39, followed by Maccabi Haifa with 25 and Hapoel Jerusalem with 22.
* Ironi Kiryat Shmona is the only team without a home win.
She had nine draws and four losses as host.
* Kiryat Shmona is also the draw queen of the league together with Hapoel Haifa - each of them has 12 games that have not been decided.

* Thanks to the three penalties against Kiryat Shemona, Hapoel Beer Sheva overtook Bnei Rayna and leads the league with eight penalties awarded this season (three were missed).
Raina followed her with seven kicks from the penalty spot (four misses, two of them by Osama Halaila).
* Maccabi Haifa scored the most points after falling behind - 14, including four conversions.
She is followed by Benny Raina with 12 points from behind.
* On the other side of the scale are Hapoel Haifa and Maccabi Tel Aviv, each of which obtained only three points after falling behind.
Apart from them, only Ironi Kiryat Shmona did not turn a deficit into a victory this season, but managed to equalize seven times.
* Maccabi Haifa is also the only one that won every game in which they led.
Apart from Elia, only Hapoel Haifa and Hapoel Hadera did not experience reverses on their account.
The worst team in the category is Hapoel Tel Aviv, which lost four games in which it led.
It is followed by Nes Ziona with three such losses.

* Maccabi Haifa signed the longest winning streak this season - 11, which also equaled a club record from 2005/06.
* The longest losing streak of all belongs to the Nes Ziona section, which lost its last seven games and is also the only one without a win in 2023.
Bnei Rayna and Kiryat Shmona recorded the longest streak without a win this season - 15 games each.
* Hapoel Beer Sheva with the longest streak without conceding - five games, all of which they also won.
* Hapoel Beer Sheva scored in 23 of the 26 rounds - more than any other team.
Sektia Nes Ziona did not score in half of the games followed by Hapoel Hadera with 12 games without a goal.

* Beer Sheva also starts games in the best way, with eight goals in the first quarter of an hour.
It is followed by Benny Sakhnin with six and the category is sealed by Hapoel Haifa and Benny Rayna with a single goal until the 15th minute.
* Maccabi Tel Aviv leads with 16 goals in the 75-90 minutes, one goal ahead of Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Beer Sheva.
In contrast, Maccabi Netanya with only three goals in the last quarter of an hour.
* If last season five of the six who advanced to the top playoffs changed coaches along the way, this time only two did it: Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Netanya.
A total of five teams remained loyal to the coach they started the season with - just as happened last season.
* Four goalkeepers completed all 2,340 minutes in the regular season: Daniel Peretz, Yoav Jarfi, Ohad Levita and Robbie Levkovic.
Among the outfield players, Aloj Yao, defender of Hapoel Jerusalem, leads the way, who was replaced twice and missed only 30 minutes.

* Daniel Peretz kept a clean sheet 16 times - more than any other goalkeeper in the league so far.
He is followed by Omri Glazer with 14 (and a game less).
* Omar Atzili, the top scorer in the league last season, once again leads the scoring table with 16. Eran Zahavi follows him with 15 goals, as part of a fascinating fight for the top scorer.
* In total, there are already nine players who scored 10 goals or more, even before the playoffs began.
All last season there were 10 such players.
* Etzili is also the only one to score a hat trick this season on two different occasions (1:4 over Maccabi Netanya and 1:4 over Hapoel Haifa).
Yon Nicolasco is the only one to score four (Beitar Jerusalem 6:3 over Maccabi Netanya) and Igor Zlatanovich (Netanya 4:1 over Beitar) and Mark Costa (Bnei 3:2) Raina on Nes Ziona) are signed to threesomes.

* Yordan Shua is currently the leading scorer with 12 and is challenging Gili Vermut's league record (17 assists in the 2009/10 season).
He was followed by Atzil with nine assists and within touching distance of a second season double-double in a row.
* Rotem Hatuel maintained his status from the first round as the league's super-sub.
He has six goals as a substitute - twice as many as anyone who comes after him.
His team Hapoel Be'er Sheva leads the category with 17 goals scored by bench players.
* Ihab Ganaim, who last season received the first red card of his career, has already been sent off three times this season (twice in the league and once in the cup).
* The title of king of yellows (16 last season, one card away from the league record of club legends Abbas Suan and Khaled Halaila) was lost by Ghanaim in favor of his friend Bnei Sakhnin Hassan Hilo who has so far accumulated 11 yellows (league and cup are counted together).
