The Geretsrieder River Rats suffered a clear 3:8 defeat in Schweinfurt and are therefore still not in the bag for relegation.
Geretsried – The situation for the Geretsried ice hockey team remains threatening: On Sunday, the River Rats clearly lost 3:8 (1:3, 2:1, 0:4) at ERV Schweinfurt and thus missed the penultimate chance for an early one Bayernliga relegation on their own to bring in the necessary two points.
"You can't act like that in our situation," said ESC coach Hans Tauber jun.

Arriving without strikers Klaus Berger and Jakob Heigl and goalkeeper Martin Morczinietz, the guests were caught off guard after just three minutes when Dylan Hood put the Bavarians ahead.
In the first majority situation, however, Ondrej Horvath managed to equalize 1:1 (7th).
"Ultimately we let Schweinfurt buy our guts and conceded cheap goals," complained Tauber, looking at the goals for 1: 2 and 1: 3 by US boy Joey Sides (15th/18th).
In the second half, the guests picked themselves up again.
Although Sides had to accept the 1:4 again after four minutes, Benedikt May (31st) and Martin Köhler (34th) gave hope again to the ESC camp with their goals.
"As a result, we were closer to 4:4 than Schweinfurt were to a fifth goal," reported the coach.
With the difference that the Mighty Dogs made it 5:3 - this time thanks to Dylan Hood's lucky shot right after the restart (42nd).
Though there was still plenty of time, the River Rats were now heads down.
"That was the broken neck, that's where it went from there," Tauber stated angrily.
So Sides with his fourth goal (55th), Nils Münzberg (56th) and Marcel Grüner (60th) had no trouble shooting out an 8:3 victory for the Mighty Dogs.
The River Rats are free of play next Friday and have to see if the competition scores.
On Sunday, the ESC will play its last game of the season in Dorfen.
