To ensure that the whole family gets through the winter healthy, mum relies on a medicinal plant.

Garmisch – The Neureuthers are a real winter sports family.

Felix Neureuther used to be a world-class skier.

His wife Miriam, née Gössner, was successful in biathlon.

Both have three children together, who were practically born with winter sports.

To ensure that the whole family gets through the winter healthy, mum trusts in a popular medicinal plant.

The Neureuthers focus on a healthy lifestyle with sport as a balance, preferably with skis under their feet on the slopes.

After the end of her career as a top biathlete, Miriam Neureuther wanted to work on a project on a "taboo subject" - eating disorders in competitive sports.

In the course of this, it was even suggested that the 32-year-old from Garmisch-Partenkirchen suffered from an eating disorder herself during her active career.

"That's not true," Miriam Neureuther intervened after the misunderstanding.

The double world champion wants to set a good example for her children if one day the offspring want to follow in their parents' big footsteps.

With Felix Neureuther she has a five-year-old daughter, a three-year-old son and another daughter who will be one year old at the end of April.

Miriam Neureuther reveals: This is how the family gets through the winter healthy

"GINGER SHOOTS for the whole family!" Posted Miriam Neureuther in her Instagram story.

The video shows the former Gössner preparing a drink using a juicer.

Judging by the pictures, this is possibly an orange juice enriched with ginger.

Ginger has been one of the typical medicinal plants of Asian medicine for many centuries and is said to bring relief from various diseases.

It is said to have a healing effect on headaches and gastrointestinal complaints, but also on diabetes, colds and rheumatic diseases.

The tuber is also rich in vitamin C and also contains magnesium, iron, calcium, potassium, sodium and phosphorus.

Miram and Felix Neureuther: Father Christian takes care of his grandchildren

It is not known whether the Neureuther children liked the ginger shoot.

But as the saying goes: "It tastes best with mom." Perhaps Miriam's father-in-law Christian Neureuther was also allowed to taste the mixed drink.

The grandfather, who has had to do without his beloved Rosi since the beginning of the year, lives in a house right next door.

Christian Neureuther likes to take his grandchildren skiing and gives them tips.

Much to the delight of the parents, Felix Neureuther recently chose touching words about father Christian:

"A highlight for Miri and me, too."
