Summary of the Spanish Basketball League: Real Madrid - Bilbao 65:86 (Sport1)
Washington's downward trend continued tonight (between Sunday and Monday) with a 112:93 loss in Philadelphia, the fifth in six games and the seventh out of the last ten for the Wizards, who have now lost the place in the playoffs and are ranked 11th in the East with the sixth worst record in the NBA.
At the same time, this is also a bad period for Danny Avdia, who this time settled for 4 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists in 24 minutes on the floor.
The numbers show quite clearly that the All-Star break did not come at a good time for the Israeli forward.
In the 14 games that preceded it, Avdia scored 10 times in double figures, while in the nine games held since then, he recorded double figures only twice in the points column.
And if before the All-Star game his average was 9.1, when he throws 7.5 times per game from the field, after the break it dropped to 6.7 and 5.8 respectively.
On the "Wiz of Awes" website, Avdia's season was defined as a roller coaster, and as an example they mentioned that after he set a career high of 25 points against San Antonio about a month and a half ago, in the next game the Israeli was stopped by only 2 points.
"This just proves that Avdia needs to be more involved in the attack if the Wizards want to be successful. He, for his part, needs to be more aggressive and consistent in taking advantage of his opportunity when he touches the ball, to earn more minutes."

That may be what Bradley Beal told him tonight.
In the United States it was reported that during one of the timeouts during the fourth quarter, the Washington star especially approached Abdia and for long seconds whispered in his ear a message that the Israeli probably appreciated, as he responded with a short hug to Bill.
This morning Avdia himself delivered a message that pretty much describes his approach to the less good period personally: "Don't listen too much to the noise around you. Love yourself, love what you do, love the way you do it."
