The issue of extended time additions grabbed headlines during the World Cup in Qatar, when the record was in the match between England and Iran (2:6) that ended after 117 minutes - the longest match in the World Cup.

But what about an extra 40 minutes of game time?

This is what happened last night (Monday) in Bolivia, when the Premier League game between Atlético Palmaflor and Blooming ended in the 130th minute, after a disturbed drama in extra time and a winning goal in the 90th+38th minute.

The host led 0:2 in the 86th minute thanks to two penalties that were whistled in her favor, then Blooming managed to shrink.

But the goal required VAR approval and the review took no less than 10 minutes.

Even so, the game was stopped several times due to the state of the grass, which was full of puddles after the stormy weather, and together with the delay in VAR and the substitutions - the referee set a 30-minute extra time.

In the 24th minute of extra time, Blooming managed to equalize the score, three minutes after their player was sent off.

In the 28th minute, another player of the visiting team was sent off, the game was stopped again and the overtime got longer and longer.

Much to Blooming's frustration, with nine players she was unable to hold on and in the 38th minute of extra time it was the Argentinian Jonathan Canaita who completed a brace and made it 2:3 dramatic for Palmaflor.

Two minutes later, the long-awaited final whistle also came.

By the way, this game was supposed to be played the day before, but was postponed 24 hours due to a traffic jam that prevented the broadcast team from arriving at the stadium.
