Michael Jordan has recently been in "serious talks" to sell his ownership stake in the Charlotte Hornets, according to ESPN.
No conclusion has yet been reached, but soon one of the worst teams in the NBA is expected to pass into other hands, with the legendary former player supposed to keep a small percentage in the club.
Jordan, the league's only African-American owner, has already sold some of his interest in 2020, and is now set to relinquish majority control of the club he purchased in 2010.
The person who is supposed to be the new owner is Rick Schnell, from the group of people who bought the Atlanta Hawks in 2015.

If the deal goes through, it would be the third sale of the season, after Robert Sarber sold his stake in Phoenix and Mark Lasri sold his stake in Milwaukee.
"It's a big loss for the league, in many ways," wrote "Athletic".
"Jordan is a legend. He is not just a player who bought a team, but probably the greatest player ever. He is a man that should be kept in the league in a central role."
With all due respect to his greatness as a player, as an owner Jordan experienced very little success.
In the 13 seasons since he bought the club, Charlotte achieved a positive balance only three times.
This season they have the fourth worst record in the league, which leaves them with a good chance of winning Victor Wombanayama in the upcoming draft.
Despite the precarious state of the club, according to "Forbes" it is worth 1.7 billion dollars, so MJ is expected to make quite a profit - in 2010, he paid 275 million dollars for the team.
