Summary of Maccabi Haifa's victory 1:2 over MS.

When the scoreboard in the stadium showed the 17th minute, Hamudi Kanaan, a player who grew up in Maccabi Haifa, stood on the penalty spot, and it was clear to everyone that Kanaan's goal would dismantle the Greens even before 20 minutes had passed in the game.

Haifa, who only a few weeks before lost to Ashdod, saw how once again the formation they came up with was not working for them.

In those minutes everything seemed black, but then Josh Cohen stopped the ball of number 10 in blue and the stands in Haifa exploded as if the greens had scored a goal themselves in extra time.

The momentum immediately shifted.

The feeling was that the atmosphere in the stadium is what lifts the players, in an almost impossible situation.

Picks them up so much, to the point of changing ten players in the first half.

"There was an atmosphere that, even in relation to Sami Ofer, is unusual," stated a player in the team, "you just felt on the grass that no matter how broken we are, we must find the strength to win this game. There are moments that change a game and maybe a season. The moment the stadium shook in a state of being behind It's such a moment."

Indeed, the greens celebrated in a big way the victory over MS Ashdod when at the end of the game the players remained as well as all the members of the professional staff and danced in front of the crowd in plays reminiscent of a championship or at least victories in season games against Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Beer Sheva.

"It was the biggest league victory during Barak's time in the team," stated an official at the club, "perhaps not the most impressive victory in terms of ability, but there is no doubt that in the totality of what happened on the field, it was the biggest victory during Barak's time and probably for many, many years."

This week Bacher himself was present at the event of the Green Monkeys fan organization, he was able to hear chants such as "Barak will not move from Maccabi" and "stay" but he also addressed the crowd and made it clear that he told the players after the game against Hapoel Hadera that even if the team makes the fans return disappointed it will only happen after war.

Last night, Bacher's speech was particularly appropriate, since in Haifa we mainly noted the enthusiasm and passion of the players, even in a very difficult situation of being behind in the result as well as a numerical disadvantage on the grass from the tenth minute.

"We proved the nature of champions," stated a player in the team, "if anyone was looking for final proof that we are after the crisis, this is the proof, because in recent times it is clear to everyone that such a situation would have torn us apart and this time we came out stronger than it."

The one who received huge compliments is of course Josh Cohen who stopped the penalty and also recorded an excellent game.

When Bogdan Palanich left Maccabi Haifa in the summer after the meetings against Red Star Belgrade, there were those in Haifa who feared that it was a blow from which the Greens would not be able to recover.

In a particularly quick move, Barak Becher and Gal Alberman decided to sign two foreign brakes and this to overcome the huge gap left by the Serbian.

In the working plan, Abdulai Sek was the senior shortstop while Dylan Stovansika was supposed to serve as the "sixth foreigner" and as a backup.

While Sek was not fit to play, Betovansika came in good form and got the place in the lineup.

The Frenchman took the opportunity with both hands and although Sek reached the standard of the senior very quickly the formations were reversed.

At the beginning of his career in the green uniform, there were still those who thought that Sek, unlike Tubbansika, was not proving himself, but then the Senegalese brakeman entered into matters and very quickly proved why Alberman and Bacher considered him the senior brakeman.

Yesterday Sek received compliments and was defined by almost all the members of the club as the man of the match.

"There is no doubt that we hit a bull's eye on both brakes," stated an official in Haifa, "Both of them are at the highest level in relation to soccer in Israel. It's not just that Sek was called to the Senegal team."

Unlike Batvansika, on whom an option in the amount of 1.3 million euros must be exercised, Schlesek has a contract for another season in the green uniform, which causes great joy in the club.

By the way, in Haifa they also praised Rami Gershon who played alongside Sk.

Gershon is highly valued by the professional team and the feeling of the club's people showed excellent ability yesterday.

The brakeman is expected to receive a contract offer next season as well when he is highly valued both professionally and in terms of leadership and the club would like to see Gershon continue in Haifa even after he decides to retire.

The brakeman himself is not expected to retire next season and as mentioned will receive an offer to stay at the club.

Now in Haifa they will rest when apart from four players who are supposed to play in the different national teams (Mahmoud Jaber and Dolev Haziza in the Israeli national team, Abdoulaye Sek in the Senegal national team and Charon Sherry in the Surinam national team) the rest will be able to rest a little, which encourages the greens, especially in light of yesterday's game and the load of 90 minutes including the time increments with a numerical disadvantage.

The injured Ali Muhammad is expected to return after the national team break and there is cautious optimism that he will be fit for the game against Hapoel Beer Sheva.

The big problem for Bacher is the fact that Shawn Goldberg is in doubt for the match against Beer Sheva and in the shadow of Betvansika's suspension it seems that if Goldberg can't play the pair of brakes will be Sek and Gershon.

In such a case, there is an option that Bacher will decide to start with three brakes together with Daniel Sundgren and play with Dolev Haziza on the right line.

In Haifa they understand that the game against Beer Sheva can give them an advance that will be difficult to match afterwards.

"Beer Sheva proved that they are a worthy and strong opponent for the title," the club said, "
