Brooklyn (32:39) - Denver (24:48) 108:102
With five losses in its last six games, with its gap from Sacramento and Memphis shrinking to only three and a half games, Denver knew it shouldn't stumble if it wanted to take another step towards securing the top of the Western Conference. And for a change this is what happened.
Jamal Murray scored no less than 20 points in the first quarter and gave his team a double-digit advantage, in the third quarter Nikola Jokic and Michael Porter Jr. joined and made it 71:89, and from there the Nets, who beat the Serb and his friends a week ago, never came back .
Porter Jr. finished as the leading scorer with 28 points and 9 rebounds, Murray added 25 and Jokic finished with another triple double of 22 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists.
Mikel Bridges finished with 23 on the other side, Nick Claxton added 19.
Oklahoma City (36:35) - Phoenix (33:38) 120:124
Fourth loss in the last five games for Phoenix, who could still find herself dropping into the play-in at this rate.
The Thunder, on the other hand, continue to struggle and not give up in the tight playoff race in the West.
Devin Booker started well, the Suns ran to a double-digit lead in the second quarter and already led 37:52, as part of a first half in which they poured in 69 points.
finished?
Absolutely not: Shea Gilges Alexander brought the Thunder back to business, and even completed a turnaround in the last quarter.
Aron Wiggins made it 104:113, and from there the guest never came back.
SGA finished with 40 points, Booker's 46 was not enough on the other side.
