Yanel Ashmoz made history on Saturday by becoming the first Israeli fighter to win by knockout at a UFC event held in London, and maintained a perfect record of seven wins and no losses.
The fighter of Circassian origin grew up in the village of Kama and won his world thanks to an unprecedented performance, when the victory he achieved during the first round against the local fighter and favorite Sam Patterson, who was taller than him by several significant centimeters and received a push from the home crowd.
