As Bayern Munich coach, Julian Nagelsmann is under enormous pressure.
In an interview, he explains how he deals with it.
He admits mistakes.

When things went really bad for FC Bayern for the first time late last summer, Julian Nagelsmann didn't want to know much about this word.

Julian Nagelsmann complains about "black and white thinking"
After a year and a half as coach at Germany's biggest club, he still doesn't feel life-threatening fears.
But he admits: “Before my move, I naturally imagined what I could expect as a Bayern coach.
But what you can't prepare for completely: what extreme black and white thinking there is sometimes," he told the
world on Sunday
.
So far he has experienced a kind of roller coaster season with FC Bayern.
The last few weeks have been significant: first a convincing win against Paris St. Germain in the Champions League, then a defeat in Leverkusen.

Nagelsmann: At Bayern "everything is super good or everything is super bad"
“Either everything is super good or everything is super bad in the evaluation from the outside.
There is nothing in between,” complains the Landsberger.
He gives examples: In the beginning he was described as "quick witted" and "refreshing" for his public statements, "almost overnight that was exactly what I was then interpreted negatively".
Or: "If we had been
eliminated
(against Paris, editor's note) , everyone would have said: catastrophic tactics by Nagelsmann, why did he let Stanisic play?" Instead, "it was praised as the greatest tactic of all.
Although I didn't win the games against Paris alone.
These extreme rashes are difficult to understand,” says Nagelsmann.
He also revealed a promise to his mother.

The Bayern coach also admits mistakes: "I never claim that all my statements are correct.
I've also made mistakes at press conferences.
Someone who has no opinion gets through life easily.
But I'd rather have one."
When asked how self-critical he is, he responds honestly.
"I feel ashamed after defeats," he admits.
One of his most important keywords is courage, which he also wants to set an example for the players.
"I don't ask my players for smooth actions.
Before we have nothing but bureaucrats on the field who just push the ball from left to right and the spectators fall asleep, they should rather try something and risk it." (epp
