The new fitness park on the sports grounds of SV Marzling has opened.

At the annual general meeting there was a lot of applause for the construction crew, companies and helpers.

Marzling

– Those responsible at SV Marzling had a double appointment on Saturday: In the afternoon, the opening of the new fitness park on the SVM facility was on the agenda – and in the evening the annual general meeting took place in the sports home.

At both events, the association's "construction crew" played a major role under the leadership of Thomas Henninger.

Henninger had the idea of building a public fitness park on the site right next to the beach volleyball court that opened last year.

Mayor Martin Ernst was immediately enthusiastic about this idea and pledged his support.

As did nine local companies who made their labor, equipment and materials available.

"I think it's huge from the Marzlingen companies that support the sports club here and at the same time advance the community in terms of quality of life and leisure time value, so that a new meeting point can be created," said the town hall boss Ernst happily in conversation with the FT about the new fitness park.

Minimum costs thanks to high personal contribution

The costs for the new system were minimal due to the high proportion of in-house work, said construction team leader Henninger.

In the twelve months from the idea to the opening, 350 hours of work were put into the project.

The TÜV had accepted the devices at the end of November, so that the system received the final touches in the new year and could now be opened with a small celebration.

Above all, Thomas Henninger thanked the companies involved, the community and his numerous helpers from SV Marzling.

They had already fully tackled the 2022 calendar year, as the report by the construction crew at the Annual General Meeting showed.

Among other things, the cabins in the sports center were renovated and the entire interior was given a new coat of paint.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

This commitment was recognized with much applause by the 60 members present.

Just like the report by SVM chairman Marcus Jacobs, in which we heard about the increasing number of members (currently 894), a successful forest festival with a great supporting program and many other events.

Treasurer Jessica Amoako's treasury report for 2022 showed a minus, which was to be expected given the investments and renovations at the facility.

The club's 75th anniversary casts its shadow

In the reports from the departments, the gymnastics team was pleased about the newly added opportunity to offer beach volleyball, as well as a strong increase in membership (from 473 to 528 in 2023), which was managed with a total of 14 trainers and eight helpers in various courses for children and adults became.

The soccer players and the tennis department have a lot on their wish list, from a robotic lawnmower to an irrigation system and the renewal of the aging tennis courts, in terms of investments and construction crews over the next few years.

Marcus Jacobs' outlook focused on the forest festival on July 22nd and the preparations for the club's 75th anniversary next year.

Then, on the festival weekend from 18th to 21st July 2024, a colorful program of parties, culture and pageant will take place and the clubhouse will also shine in new splendor from the outside.
