"Pafo Gomes turned to a witch to cast a spell on Lou Celso" - Voila! sport

Report in Argentina: the national team's midfielder worked to monitor his friend's recovery in order to receive a call-up to the World Cup at his expense. Is this the reason for his absence from the celebrations?

The Argentina national team will play its first game as world champion tonight (between Thursday and Friday) and will host Panama in a friendly match.

The evening will be dedicated entirely to the celebrations of the team's victory in the World Cup in Qatar and will include many performances by singers from the country, when all members of the squad from the victory will come to the celebrations, except for one - Papo Gomes.

It was first reported that Sevilla refused to release the player so that he could focus on recovering from an injury he is suffering from, but in Argentina they reported a different reason.

According to local journalist Gonzalo Cardoso, before the World Cup Gomes turned to a witch to cast a spell and monitor the recovery of Giovanni Lo Celso from injury in order to be included in the squad at his expense.

As you may remember, Villarreal's midfielder fought against the clock to qualify for the tournament, but unfortunately he did not succeed and watched his friends from the sidelines while Gomes was summoned and returned from Qatar with the trophy.

A scandal in the team.

Cardoso even claimed that after the quarter-final against Holland, Gomes admitted to his teammates that he asked a witch to cast her spells so that she would guarantee a win for Argentina in the World Cup.

Of course, he didn't tell them about the request regarding Lo Celso, and when the national team players found out about it, they demanded not to invite him to the celebrations.
