Even at age 34, Chicago Bulls guard Patrick Beverley is in good enough shape to average more than 28 minutes on the floor per game.
Last night (Wednesday), in the last episode of his podcast, he revealed what his secret is: a moderate sex life.
The subject came up following the words of Larsa Pippen, the ex of the Bulls legend, Scottie Pippen, who said a few days ago that "for 23 years we had sex four times a night, every night, even at away games. I never had a day off."
Following this, Beverly said: "I never have sex the night before a game. I want my legs to be fresh, you know what I'm saying?", he asked Ron, his podcast partner.
The NBA player admitted that his wife Mandana is not too enthusiastic about this rule, but has already put up with it.
"My wife will kill me. It's hard, because we have a game every two days. I don't want to go into too much detail."

He recently moved to Beverley to play in his hometown, Chicago, when the Los Angeles Lakers, where he started the season, traded him to the Bulls.
It's unclear when the guard introduced the anti-sex rule into his life, but so far it's been enough for career averages of 8.6 points, 37.5 percent from three and 1.1 steals per game in 27.4 minutes.
