The Lakers star returned to the courts after missing 13 games, explained why he decided not to undergo surgery ("the doctors have never seen such a quick recovery"), but suffered a loss against Chicago and suffered humiliation

Summary: Fenerbahçe - Topaz Bursa 94:89 (Sport1)

LeBron James returned to the courts yesterday (Sunday), only after receiving advice from "LeBron James of the foot experts", as he said.

The Lakers star preferred not to reveal the name of the medical professional, but returned to the courts after being assured that it was okay for him to return to the courts this season despite suffering from a torn tendon in his right leg.

"He told me I didn't need to have surgery," James said after Los Angeles' 118-108 loss to the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.

Two other doctors recommended that James undergo foot surgery, but the veteran star opted for rehabilitation.

He returned in exactly four weeks, missed 13 games, and returned in time to participate in the Lakers' final push to qualify for the playoffs.

Not satisfied with play-in.

With two weeks left in the regular season, the loss to Chicago dropped Los Angeles to No. 9 in the Western Conference standings, but just two games behind No. 6 Golden State with seven games remaining.

James had 19 points against the Bulls, shooting 6-of-11 from the field, with eight rebounds and three assists.

He also had five turnovers, and Los Angeles had 18 as a team, leading to 34 points for Chicago.

"Obviously pace is the most important thing," James said.

"I had a few drives and the ball got away from me. Some shots didn't feel as good as before, obviously. But I was out for four weeks, and I'm trying to get back to myself for the last stage of the season."

Anthony Davis (15 points, 9 rebounds) said: "He'll be fine. We'll be fine... It was great to see him out there."

The Lakers were 5:8 without LeBron, who believes in his team's chances this season.

"To hell with the play-in; we could actually be seeded in the top eight," said James, who said he recovered from the injury faster "than the doctors have ever seen."

However, he admitted that he has not yet decided if he will undergo surgery in the offseason, and how it will affect his return for next season.

But with all due respect to LeBron, the Lakers lost to Chicago, at home, at a time when every game is crucial.

The one who celebrated the victory was Patrick Beverley, who was released from the Lakers, and tonight he scored a basket on LeBron and signaled to him "You're too short", and then he even turned to the Lakers fans and roared at the stands "Shut your mouth" and just hold your nose to make it clear to Kebuma that she "stinks".

Before that, he defiantly walked past coach Darwin Hamm and general manager Robflinka.

Davis said of Beverly: "Those who know him are not surprised. This is Pat. I didn't expect anything less than that."
