The celebrations in Argentina do not stop.

Tonight (between Monday and Tuesday) a statue in the likeness of Lionel Messi was unveiled, in a special ceremony organized by the South American Football Association in Paraguay.

"It's very exciting," he said.

"As I said a few days ago, we are experiencing very, very exciting moments. We are lucky to return to Argentina for the first time and receive so much love. Everyone is so happy for us, that we brought the cup back to South America."

The flea added: "We still don't really digest the meaning of being world champions. I am so grateful, and I thank God for everything I have achieved in football. I am grateful for my teammates, the professional staff, everyone. I want to enjoy what I have left, I don't know how long it will be, but I will always try to have fun, as I have done throughout my career. I love football."

"I didn't dream of this moment," said the flea.

"My dream as a child was to simply have fun. I've come a long way. I had many disappointments along the way, many losses, but I always looked forward. I always tried to win."
