Israel's national team
The Israeli national team began the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign with a rather disappointing home draw on Saturday at the Bloomfield Stadium against Kosovo, but at 21:45 Alon Hazan and his players meet a much higher hurdle in the form of the home leader and the favorite to finish at the top, the Swiss national team that in the opening round ran over Belarus 0:5 in Serbia .
The stadium in Geneva contains about 30,000 seats, but most of it will remain empty and the Israeli national team hopes that the sleepy atmosphere may help them return from there at least with a precious point that will make them forget the 1:1 against Kosovo.
Unlike the game on Saturday, Alon Hazan chose to start with a slightly more defensive link and therefore Oskar Gloch went to the bench and his place was taken by Mahmoud Jaber.
Another change was made in the wing, with Tai Bribo taking the place of Sean Weissman.
On the Swiss side, Noah Ekpoor, who just came off the bench and scored on Saturday, is expected to replace Cedric Itten in the wing and cooperate in the front with Ruben Vargas and Renato Stefan, who scored a hat trick in the game in Serbia against Belarus.
