An era was to be ushered in on Säbener Strasse when the man from Landsberg came to Munich for a record sum in the summer of 2021.
But it wasn't to be: after around 20 months, it was over and Nagelsmann was released.

Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic spoke of an "unpopular decision" when announcing Nagelsmann's dismissal, but the constellation no longer fit.
The decision to release was not easy for the bosses, the trend with only five Bundesliga victories in the second half went in the wrong direction.
Nevertheless, FC Bayern has the chance to win all three titles this season.
In the Champions League and the DFB Cup, the team is in the quarter-finals.
Before the top league game against Dortmund, the gap is only one point.

As it turns out, these reactions apparently reflect the entire FC Bayern fan community.
In a survey,
IPPEN.MEDIA
wanted to know from readers: “FC Bayern is parting ways with Julian Nagelsmann.
The right decision?” The result is quite clear.
Almost half of the participants answered the question with "No", which corresponds to 27,567 votes (as of March 27, 10:23 p.m.).
Apparently they would have believed Nagelsmann to bring the season to a successful conclusion.
The young manager wasn't popular with everyone due to his honest and direct manner, but his skills as a football expert are undeniable.

In addition, the 35-year-old's identification with FC Bayern should have earned him sympathy points.
Sports director Salihamidzic, on the other hand, had to put up with a lot of criticism, the fans reacted critically to Brazzo's performance in a one-two.
Almost 30 percent of the survey participants clicked on "Yes" and therefore consider the decision to dismiss Nagelsmann to be correct.
Apparently, a large part of the fans agree with the Bayern bosses, who saw the goals of the season as endangered.
Nevertheless, it is significantly less than with "No".
Around twelve percent of readers responded with "I don't care", around nine percent with an undecided "I don't know".

Tuchel more popular than Nagelsmann?
New Bayern coach must convince Bayern fans
The extent to which this survey result on Nagelsmann's dismissal reflects the fans' opinion on the choice of ex-BVB coach Thomas Tuchel as the new coach is another matter.
In any case, the successor insisted that he would not have pushed for Nagelsmann's release.
In the future, Bayern fans will have to make the next decision as to whether they will love the new man just like Nagelsmann.
The Krumbacher already knows the city well, where he has had an apartment for a long time: Tuchel celebrated his Bayern contract in a Munich noble restaurant.
