Who is the greatest of all, what is the quality of Gluch ("Arsi"), what is the charm of Zahavi and his firm opinion on the current team: "I'm not saying this for nothing. There is something special here." Beavers were cut short by a surgeon

English celebration: all goals of the day from the Premier League, round 29, 1.4 (Sport1)

After retiring from the Israel national team at the end of an impressive and long career as a captain and one of its symbols, Beavers Natcho was interviewed on the podcast "The Podium" and talked about the decision to leave, his journey throughout his career, his unique character and what he thinks about the Israeli national team and the rosy future that awaits it.

On retirement:

''I was eligible to play in Switzerland, but for several reasons I only wanted to play against Kosovo.

First of all, I have been debating for a long time whether to do it or not.

I decided it was time for a thousand and one reasons.

I said I wanted to be in the first game against Kosovo, when Bloomfield was full, and I took the credit because I think I deserved some respect.

I think it was a bit different, a bit unusual - but that's me.

I've never been accepted by everyone, so I do it the way I want.'

"It was important to me, even if I only entered for four minutes at the end, I wanted them to see even in four minutes.

I was always there and always gave what I could.

Sometimes it was enough, sometimes not.

"Both Yossi (Benyon) and Alon (Hazan), to their credit - they always told me and asked me to stay at least until the end of the campaign.

I spoke with Yossi five or six times in the last month on the phone and he always said 'Beavers will stay'.

Even when I told him I had made up my mind, he told me to take three to four days to think.

He knew it was hard for me, but I was really at peace with it.

"It's not easy to get up and walk, especially when I can. I'm really playing this year and I'm in excellent shape. Statistically, I'm one of the players who play the most in terms of playing minutes. It's not that I'm not in shape, but I felt it was time." Why did he decide to retire

?

"I have been in the national team for 14 years and I have been outside of Israel for 13 years.

I come here every vacation and break, I don't remember when I had a break, except winter breaks when I played in Russia.

The body eventually starts to signal and wear out and today I am 35 years old, I have to think a little about myself.

I think it's a good time, I felt that we have a ready generation and an amazing captain who is going to replace me.

I felt satisfied, that I could walk happily.''

On what will happen if we go up to the Euro:

''This is the main reason I was debating.

The only one actually.

I feel this time we can do it, even if it won't be at home directly.

I'm not just saying that.

There is something special here.

We have a great combination of everything here, this team can do it.'

"They tend to underestimate the Israeli player, but we have players of a level.

I don't think Manor falls to any winger one on one today, you can't take the ball away from him.

We have Miguel Vitor, he is a huge upgrade for this team and perhaps the most important.

You have Desa, Dor and Neta already ready, the goalkeepers are at a very high level, we have Oscar.

We have everything from everything, and everything is ready.''

On Oscar Gloch:

"Gloch knows how to break tools, on the positive side.

He looks quiet, but he is venomous.

He is not excited.

He has the character to lead a team, he is a very talented player.

''During the first games with Hazan, Desa would talk to me almost twice a day.

He would ask me a lot of questions.

There are those whose ego will stop them, but Desa is not like that.

he wants to learn

It was a very natural process, the dressing room is important to Dessa and he works on the dressing room.

He is very quiet, but he is a very dominant player who brings very positive leadership.

He is a captain who will be built for another two or three years, and he will be a very significant figure.''

On his relationship with Banyon:

"When I joined the Israeli national team, Yossi was the captain.

He grabbed me on the first day and told me 'whatever you need - I'm here for you'.

Since then I have been a kind of 'Yossi's child' in the national team.

I was always by his side, always with him and he would watch over me.

It's something I look at when I go back 12-13 years, I'd look at him and say 'OK, he's my friend in the dressing room but when he walks past me I still put my head down'.

I knew it was Yossi, and everything was fine, we were sitting and laughing but I still had a kind of respect that a legend was sitting next to me, with all due respect.

I don't consider myself a legend, but the players probably have respect for me and appreciate what I did.''

On the stops in his career:

''This fuck was crazy.

For me personally, these four months were perhaps the most enjoyable.

It was on a crazy level, I couldn't leave the stadium in a car, I would walk with seven bodyguards around me.'

"I am affiliated with PAUK Thessaloniki, CSKA Moscow and Partizan Belgrade.

This is one side.

There is a fraternal alliance in the clubs, and I am the only player who has played in all three in all of history.

This is a serious alliance.''

On the position on the field:

"Today I'm 10, but there were many times when I liked to play 8, because you play most of the game with your face, especially in attack, and you can move more on the field.

There were many times in the team that I liked to play 6. I hope it doesn't sound bad, but I think it's easier for me to play with a European player than with an Israeli player in terms of style and understanding of the game.

I like to play as fast forward as possible and as much space as possible.

An Israeli player likes more to spy and hold the ball, so many times when critics I don't say that people have no idea, I always try to learn and understand.

Over the years I realized that this is probably also one of the reasons.''

Who did he most like to play with in the team:

"The greatest is Yossi.

Eran (Zahavi) is someone who we have been together since the age of 15 and I have seen the construction and change in him.

In the youth he was not the leading player, and in the adults he was not always in the lineup.

Suddenly he became a monster and it was something amazing to see and experience.

I keep saying 'it can't be', and the man grows and grows.

I shared a room with Biram for years.

On his professional path:

''My father always built a path for me and it wasn't a question of whether I would stick to that path, the question was how I would stick to that path.

Now, I say this truly with the utmost modesty - at the age of 12-13 I knew I would be a team player for Hapoel Tel Aviv.

The question was when.

I expected at the age of 17, in the end it happened at the age of 19. I knew that I would be in all the Israeli national teams.

It's not arrogance, I'm not arrogant, it's not in my nature, but it was clear to me that this is what I was doing.

I was focused on the goal, I knew what steps I had to go through.

I was captain of all Israel national teams.

When I got to the senior team it was another step in what I have to do during my career, and the next step was to lead the team.

Whether it was as captain or not, that was less of a question, but I did have to lead the team, and that came with time.

It came at the beginning as a child who sits with Yossi and his uncle all the time at the table, and also learns precisely from them and does not sit with the children.

I was actually close to them, to see how they react and deal with victories and losses.

After that Gutman arrived, we already had an acquaintance and he also openly gave me the keys, and he said I was one of his top players.

It's a process.

You also need luck in your career, but this is a process that I knew would happen - the only question was how.''
