Barak Becher has not yet been appointed as the coach of Red Star Belgrade - but voices are already being heard in Serbia doubting him and his abilities.
Yesterday (Monday), the Serbian media interviewed Miudrag Božovic, a former player and coach at the Red Star, and criticized the decision of the Red Star leaders to meet with the representatives of the Israeli coach while the current coach, Milos Miljevic, is in the middle of a fight to win the local double in Serbia.
"I don't know what to think about the publications about Bachar. Apparently the people at the club know what they are doing. It's their decision...", Bozovich said hesitantly.
"Perhaps they just had dinner with Bacher, but in any case this behavior is a bit childish. They should have known that there was a chance that they would be photographed, and that the media would celebrate these pictures. This is very wrong behavior towards Miloš Milojevic. Every group has the right to make changes Or check candidates, but from a club the size of the Red Star I would expect a little different behavior."

According to Bozovich, Bacher will have a harder time succeeding than his predecessors in the position.
"It's not clear to me what they find in him that other coaches don't have. It doesn't matter who will stand on the lines, it will be very difficult for Red Star to advance in the Champions League. You can pray, you can hope, but for that to happen, a miracle is needed. I'm sure of one thing - at some point , the fans will blame him too. It happens to everyone. Red Star fans are very demanding, and sometimes their expectations are unrealistic. I think it might be better to keep Milos Milojevic in the job. He is doing a great job so far. Red Star has an excellent chance to win the cup and complete Winning the doubles. So what, will he be replaced after winning the doubles? He seems to me like a very talented coach, who works hard as the results illustrate. He should be given a chance."
