VfB coach Sebastian Hoeneß apparently relies on a chain of five defensively.
He also surprises with the decision to first put his trust in Luca Pfeiffer up front.
Also unexpected is that Silas and Tomas take a seat on the bench.

As far as the line-up is concerned, new coach Sebastian Hoeneß does not let himself be looked at.
It would not be surprising, however, if he pulled Waldemar Anton, who last played on the right for Labbadia, back into central defence.
In addition, Hoeneß is likely to take a more aggressive approach than his predecessor.
When he was introduced, he already announced that he wanted to play bold, attacking football.
He also values commitment.

How many minutes does Guirassy last?
Meanwhile, it is questionable how many minutes striker Serhou Guirassy has in the tank.
Ex-coach Labbadia let the attacker, who had been absent for weeks due to a torn tendon in the adductor area, play for a good half hour against Union Berlin (0:3).
Whether he is already a starting XI candidate remains to be seen.
Borna Sosa, who failed in Berlin with calf problems, was also recently struck.
According to Hoeneß, all players should be fit.
The new VfB coach didn't want to reveal much more because he hadn't spoken to the team at the time of the press conference.
Nuremberg starting position
Like VfB, 1. FC Nürnberg is also in a relegation battle, but in the 2nd division.
The Franconians are currently in 13th place and have a three-point lead over the relegation place.
Since coach Dieter Hecking took over the helm as a trainer, things have been looking up.

Then there is a basement duel at VfL Bochum and for Stuttgart at the bottom it is probably the last chance to initiate a turnaround in order to be able to celebrate relegation at the end of the season.
