The resigning president of the FFR refuted the idea that he could integrate the staff of the XV of France before the World Cup.

The idea was mentioned in

Le Parisien

this Wednesday.

According to information from the daily citing internal sources, Bernard Laporte, resigning president of the FFR after being sentenced (he then appealed) for having denied a "corruption pact with Mohed Altrad, would have been in contact with the staff of the XV of France, to possibly integrate it before the next World Cup.

Information that Bernard Laporte insisted on denying on his Twitter account:

“With Fabien Galthie, I built a staff of 30 people who have been working for 4 years.

The results speak for themselves: more than 80% of victories, Grand Slam, the longest series of invincibility in the history of the XV of France… There is no reason to modify this staff.

Present with the Blues during the Tournament

During the last Six Nations Tournament, the former president of the FFR had approached the Blues.

He had notably been present at the preparation camp in Capbreton in the Landes, before the first match in Italy.

Then, he gave the players their jersey before the last match won against Wales.

A speech which had been broadcast by the FFR, in which he had notably declared: “

Continue to give happiness.

That's better than saying we don't want to see them because we take 30 points... Because we've experienced that.

Today everything is beautiful.

Yes everything is beautiful, but we cried anyway.

I don't know if you remember, but we cried more often than we laughed.

But now we're laughing.

So kudos to you.
