Danny Avdia recently played with an elbow injury and his Washington Wizards team announced at the beginning of the week that he will miss at least two games and hopefully return for two final games of the season, but tonight (between Thursday and Friday) it was determined that he will also be absent from tonight's game against the Miami Heat and the meaning is that if he does not return to the game on the day Sunday night against the Houston Rockets, he officially ended the season.
As we know, Washington has already lost any chance to participate in the play-in and therefore for them these are games for the record.
The Wizards are ranked 11th in the East, but are four wins away from 10th-place Chicago heading into the playoffs.
The improvement from season to season continues.

The averages of 22-year-old Danny Avdia this season are 9.2 points (43.7 percent from the field), 6.4 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
Compared to his first two years, this is a statistical improvement, because in 2020/21 he scored 6.3 points per game at 41.7 percent, gave 1.2 assists and took 4.9 rebounds, while last season he scored 8.4 points at 43.2 percent, gave 2 assists per game and grabbed 5.2 rebounds.
