The former president of the SCO Angers football club Saïd Chabane is summoned to the Bobigny court on June 7 to set the date for his trial for money laundering in an organized gang, AFP

The summons by minutes was notified on Thursday and the fixing hearing is scheduled for June 7 before the 15th chamber of the Bobigny criminal court, the prosecution told

Chabane remains free
In this case, four people will be tried for "organized money laundering", explained the same source.
Among the defendants, two are also dismissed for "complicity in the exercise of the activity of sports agent without a valid license" and the other two - including Mr. Chabane, according to his lawyer - for "exercise of the activity of sports agent sportsman without a valid license".

Saïd Chabane, 58, was released on Thursday, without judicial review, from his police custody which began on Tuesday morning.
According to his counsel, which refutes the charges, the former president is accused of having paid large sums of money to a recruiter who had brought several players over a long period and who, according to justice, acted as a player's agent, without having a license.
Resigning from his post as president since March 21, Saïd Chabane gave way to his son Romain Chabane.
The SCO of Angers sinks into the crisis
A first search, in June 2022, took place at the Angevin club and that of Saint-Etienne, as part of the investigation carried out in Bobigny.
Of the three players' agents then placed in police custody, only one had the license allowing him to practice this profession.
According to Me Benaiem, these are the three other defendants referred to court.
Then in January, the SCO of Angers had once again been raided.

In February 2020, Saïd Chabane was indicted for aggravated sexual assault, after complaints from six young women who were his employees.
