Munich – Five days after the sovereign victory of TSV 1860 Munich at the rivals in Ingolstadt, the lions finally want to celebrate a victory in front of their own fans in the Grünwalder Stadium.
A goal that also enjoys a special status for the Giesinger coach, Maurizio Jacobacci.
TSV 1860 Munich against VfL Osnabrück: Fourth home run for Jacobacci
When the whistle starts at 2 p.m. in the Grünwalder Stadion, it will be the fourth attempt by Löwen coach Maurizio Jacobacci to score three points in front of a home crowd.
The previous three home games under the Swiss have been anything but satisfactory for the Munich team: while Viktoria Köln (0:1) and BVB II (1:4) each lost, against Primus Elversberg (1:1) at least get a point.
It should be self-explanatory that this is not enough for the claims of TSV.
In the already charged environment of the traditional club, not least the fans expect the Löwenelf to tear themselves apart at home on Giesinger Berg.
So it doesn't look good that the last three-pointer at home came on January 21 in a 3-1 win against Zwickau.
1860 Munich against Osnabrück only underdog
The signs before the duel against Osnabrück, in which the six-year-olds go as underdogs, do not want to fit in with the lion's self-image.
In the first half of the season, Giesinger, as the clear favourites, defeated today's opponents 2-0, but things are different now. Arrived in no man's land in the table, the Munich team now welcome Osnabrück, who are in the middle of a promotion battle.
A comfortable 14 points currently separate 1860 from the first relegation place, but there are also ten points that are difficult to catch up for the promotion relegation place.
Unlike Osnabrück, which ranks only two points behind Dynamo Dresden.
Dresden is currently in fourth place, which would entitle it to a relegation game for the 2nd Bundesliga due to the better positioned Freiburg reserve.
