Madrid and Villarreal did what they wanted at the Bernabéu.

The first counterattacked and the second rubbed the ball.

In the end, the one who prevailed was Samu Chukwueze, who played a lot and broke through with two great goals from the flag.

In the first he sat Nacho down and in the second he left Courtois speechless with a sensational curved left foot.

It was a night of excellent flashes, because Vinicius's 2-1 also had its finesse and skill.

Great goals that summed up a night of expansive football in which Madrid played and, above all, kept their clothes with Chelsea in the peephole.

Substitutes for Valverde, Kroos, Modric and Militão, Alaba and the Brazilian shared a part each, and Benzema retired after an hour.

Vini did not rest, a non-stop scratcher, but who, despite his target, lacked some focus in front of Pepe Reina.

With the League on Mars, a new day between the wars served Carlo Ancelotti, in addition to complying with the rotation plan, to give reel to the vein of the four starting attackers: Benzema, Vinicius, Rodrygo and Asensio.

He did it a week ago against a rickety Valladolid and insisted against a Villarreal with much more rennet.

The result was mixed.

The Italian gave up the balance, accepted a possible exchange of blows, but the bet did not work out.

“It was difficult to have 100% motivation after Barcelona.

Few were at a high level”, admitted the Italian.

Bingo for Villarreal, which does not lose sight of the Champions League.

The truce in Chamartín lasted 10 minutes.

The night started out lazy, but suddenly it turned into a fun bustle from one place to another.

Villarreal played and Madrid ran.

Nobody cheated, each one stuck to their script.

From the outset, the plot suited Madrid better.

Quique Setién's plan to raise lines and stand in the opposite field opened the fields for the four white offensive pieces.

The left defended by Foyth had not been fertile ground for Madrid in their latest experiences, but everything started in that corner.

Typical with whites, actually.

The first notice was strange, because it was Vinicius who went down to the defense to launch Nacho on the counterattack, who, as expected, lacked finesse.

The second did conform to the

rules

: Tchouameni extended for Vinicius, who blurred at the far post.

And, in full local charge, the third ended up inside via rebound.

It is no longer so common to see Asensio break into the center after lying on the left for so long, but the arrangement of four attackers places him there and the Spaniard appreciated it.

He started from his field, left for power, extended for Vinicius who, in his attempt to return it, the ball ended up fatally touching Pau Torres.

Own goal.

Those of Setién continued to do their thing, however, his attack lacked real threat.

Much futile trying.

It was the moment of Pepe Reina, 20 years in each glove.

In a minute he took two clear, to Benzema and Rodrygo.

And this second lacked half a nail to catch a cross from Vini, who had stolen it from Parejo, and more skill to make a counter.

Great detail from Vinicius

The yellow box was saved, little by little, taming Ancelotti's boys with his only medicine, touch by touch.

They threatened from a distance with several shots from Lo Celso, Trigueros (he replaced Terrats after half an hour) and Chukwueze, but they could only break through with subtlety.

Lo Celso, the Argentine who mourned the World Cup from home due to an injury, leaked a pass in the middle of a somewhat contemplative defense and Chukwueze revealed himself with a marvel.

He faked Nacho to the right and sent him to the canvas with a delicious cut to the left before striking down a sold Courtois.

The prize for a ball kneading with intention and edge.

A

gourmet

bite in the equalizer and another to return the advantage to Madrid.

Vinicius returned from the break with an

espaldinha

and instantly scored a great goal.

The visiting defense lacked fire to stop him and he had plenty of quality to define.

He faced Chukwueze and Mandi, and this second he ended up getting a pipe before defining in front of Reina with the heart rate below zero.

He had the third instantly after a steal by Ceballos, but he did not hit the near post, and another attempt at a pass from Valverde.

Once again Madrid took the lead, once again they wasted chances and once again Villarreal continued to give the grinder their touch, until José Luis Morales, who had just come on in Lo Celso's place, caught the tie.

Asensio tried a great goal on a volley, but the one who really scored it was Chukwueze with a shot close to the top corner that left the staff stunned.

Madrid charged, already with Modric on stage and always with Vinicius turning the crank.

The last attempt corresponded to Asensio, he went upstairs and the night ended with Chukwueze taking over the Castellana.
