Summary of the 1:1 of Maccabi Tel Aviv against Maccabi Haifa (Sport1)
After losing a valuable lead against Maccabi Haifa last Tuesday and settling for a 1:1 home draw against the champions, Maccabi Tel Aviv will host Hapoel Beer Sheva tomorrow (Monday, 8:30 p.m.).
An away win for the Yellows will bring them within two points of the team from the capital of the Negev.
Maccabi Tel Aviv has lost in its last three visits to Turner Stadium and has not won four games in a row in Beer Sheva.

Aitor Karanka said at the press conference:
"We need to improve in every game. Against Maccabi Haifa we had 6-7 situations and scored only one goal. Against Hapoel Jerusalem the scenario was similar. But I'm not thinking about the past, but about the future. Tomorrow is a new test We can face any team, we were better than Maccabi Haifa in the two games against them, but we need continuity in the other games."
On the late absorption against Maccabi Haifa in the corner:
"There was a mix of mistakes. There was a lack of concentration because the players were already tired. Haifa did the right thing when they picked up the corner quickly and didn't give us time to organize."
On the rivalry at the top:
"The teams are on the same level, but Maccabi Haifa manages to win. Yesterday Maccabi Netanya could have gone up 0:2 against them, but they missed and Haifa made a turnaround. We played well against Hapoel Beer Sheva at home and we need to repeat the things we did well."
On Yonatan Cohen who rarely plays:
"It's a similar situation to Dan Beaton. I try to get the best out of every player. Some are successful and some are not. I've seen what Jonathan has done in the past, I know he's been amazing here. We need to earn him - if not for this season, then for next season Maccabi made a great effort to bring him back and he needs to take a step forward like Bitton did."
On Rarsh Ilya:
"He needs to grow up and understand the situation. Jonathan and Ilya played 20-30 minutes in the cup and had a few opportunities, but didn't take the chance - unlike Dan Bitton. But there is still time and they have the potential to help us."
On Eran Zahavi and the issue of the national team:
"He is one of the greatest professionals I have coached, if not the greatest of all. I would do almost anything to have him on my team. In England and Spain there is no problem with the rooms because at these levels it is not a significant issue that is treated - there are players who are important to be alone and they get what they want.

Derrick Lucassen said
: "We are a big team. If we do things right, we will win. We need to improve everything we can to make this club what it should be. Of course we are not where we wanted to be here, but we need to fight and try to win as many games as possible What can be improved? Maybe score more because we get into a lot of situations."
On arriving in Israel
: "It took me some time to get into things, I had some injuries. I think I'm fine and I want to continue like this to help the team."
On the security situation:
"I feel safe. Sometimes I don't understand everything, but they explain it to me. I'm not afraid, but I'm from the Netherlands and it doesn't happen there. It's a different situation, but I'm fine."
