Summary: Hapoel Beer Sheva - Maccabi Tel Aviv 0:2 (Sport 1)
The coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv, Aitor Karanka, decided to leave Yonatan Cohen out of the squad for tonight's game against Hapoel Beer Sheva (Monday, 8:30 p.m.).
Karanka did not call Avi Ricken to the game either.
On the other hand, the Basque brought back Rarsh Ilya who did not dress against Maccabi Haifa and decided for the first time to also invite Eilon Almog who returned in January from the Austrian Hartberg.
It is not yet clear who will replace the yellowed Enrique Saborit.
It might be Sharan Yeni after a long injury or Joris Van Overeem who hasn't dressed for a long time.
The decision to vacate is professional and does not stem from an injury.
And so is the decision on Cohen, about whom Karanka said yesterday: "He needs to see what Dan Beaton went through and learn from it. Maccabi Tel Aviv made a great effort to bring him back into its ranks."
A rare chance.
