The season in the district upper league was successful for TSV Weilheim.
Behind Hohenpeissenberg there was the vice title.
The team is now looking forward to the relegation.
District
- In the top division of the table tennis district "Oberbayern Süd" two teams from the district determined the events.
TSV Hohenpeißenberg won the title, TSV Weilheim made it into the relegation as runners-up.
The direct duels between the two were special.
TSV Hohenpeissenberg confidently wins the championship title
The table tennis players of
TSV Hohenpeissenberg
, as the sovereign champions of the district upper league, have had plenty of victories in the past season.
But they were really "proud", according to player Daniel Bartl, of all things about the success with the closest result.
Bartl calls the 9:7 home win over TSV Weilheim, who ended up runners-up, the absolute highlight.
In the preliminary round, the Weilheim team presented themselves as equal opponents and "played very well", according to Bartl.
The Hohenpeissenbergers avoided a defeat with difficulty, the final double secured a 8:8.
For the derby in the second half of the season, "we set out to win," said Bartl.
Again, the duel with the district townspeople was dramatic, again it went into the final doubles.
There Bartl and Michael Plörer were 1:2 behind against the youngster duo David Bruns/Felix Bulitta.
In the fourth round, the Weilheimers already had match points at 10:8.
But Plörer/Bartl got the curve again and won in five sets (15:13, 9:11, 11:13, 13:11, 11:2).
The Hohenpeissenberger duo shone - seen over the entire season - with 18:0 victories - the absolute best value in the league.
Duo Plörer/Bartl victorious in 18 doubles games
"We had a few shaky games, but we still always found a solution," says Bartl in retrospect.
One reason for the flawless balance sheet: "We complement each other very well," says Bartl.
The man from Oberammergau (26), who has been with TSV Hohenpeissenberg since 2018, says he can “keep the ball well in play”, and Plörer then acts as an executor.
TSV's number one has been delivering top performances for years, no matter in which league.
After the home win over Weilheim, the Hohenpeissenbergers could not, realistically speaking, take the championship title away from them long before the end of the season.
Nevertheless, the leader of the table did not let up.
They have decided not to give anything away, says Bartl.
All eight of the following games were won – twice, against Burgrain and Gilching-Argelsried, they even managed a 9:0.
The Hohenpeissenbergers ended the season with impressive scores of 35:1 points and 161:50 games.

The team had their sights set on promotion from the start.
But they "didn't think that we'd get away with just a draw," says Bartl.
Due to the departure of two players (Sebastian Sander, David Assmann), the club had decided to go down two leagues with the first team.
The season also served as a test of the extent to which the existing staff is available.
"Everyone was actually always there," Bartl states with satisfaction.
Nine players were used, seven of them played eleven or more.

Martin Goldbrunner impressed with a 19:4 balance.
Bartl also made it into the top ten in the league (18:9).
After this pleasant season, "we're looking forward to the next season," emphasizes Bartl.

TSV Weilheim convinces as runner-up in the district league
TSV Hohenpeißenberg couldn't be beat this season, but the table tennis players from TSV Weilheim
presented themselves
as the "best of the rest" in the district league.
Two days before the end, the district townsfolk could no longer take the runner-up title and thus their participation in the promotion relegation.
With a 9:5 win over their direct competitor, SG Hausham, the team from Weilheim made second place perfect.
As far as the relegation tournament is concerned, the TSV squad has to wait.
The opponent from the "Oberbayern Mitte" district is certain - it is ESV München-Ost (second in the table with 29:11 points).
Whoever contests the relegation from the Landesliga Südsouthwest above it will be decided on the last day of the game on Saturday, April 15th.
In all likelihood, it will result in the TSV Dachau II, but the TuS Fürstenfeldbruck still has the chance to jump from the relegation to the relegation place.
TSV Weilheim undefeated at home
In the second half of the season, the Weilheimers only suffered a defeat in the dramatic 7:9 in Hohenpeissenberg.
They won all other duels – mostly very clearly.

The district townsfolk consistently focused on the offspring: Youngster David Bruns convinced in the front pair cross with a 17:17 balance.
Christian Widder (13:12 / middle pair cross) and Felix Bulitta (16: 4 / back pair cross) also became pillars of the team.

The only loss of points came from a draw (8:8 against Hohenpeissenberg), all other games were won by the TSV team.
In the two closest home wins (9:6 each) against Murnau and Hausham, the back pair cross was there: Zeiler and Bulitta made everything clear with 3:0 wins in both cases.
