Three days ago, AAK Athens issued a public apology, in which it took responsibility for its fans attacking the Reds fans in the second game of the Champions League quarter-final series.
Today (Sunday) she issued another message, this time much more forceful, three days before the third and decisive game in the heated series.
"The management of Hapoel Jerusalem and the fans did not follow the safety procedures that we announced a long time ago," it says, among other things.
"They did not respect the decisions made in the joint meeting with the police regarding the game. Their late arrival at the hall (4:50 PM instead of 3:30 PM) caused a problem in our security plans, and the entrances to the stands were damaged."

It is further claimed that "Hapoel Jerusalem fans entered the hall dressed in red with T-shirts of the Parthenon painted red, next to the inscription "Red Athens": "Imagine what diplomatic incident would have occurred if AAK fans had entered wearing a similar T-shirt, with a historical Israeli site in yellow-black colors.
This message was also published on Hapoel Jerusalem's social networks before the game, but we did not respond, so as not to create a provocation." The
Greek team also claimed that "the Hapoel fans threw back the firecracker that was thrown at them, instead of simply letting it light in an empty corner of the hall.
They endangered the players and the referees on the floor.
At the same time, they threw water bottles and coins at AAK fans, children and families sitting in the lower stands."
AK also had complaints against the management of Hapoel Jerusalem: "The management, which claims to be anti-terrorism and anti-violence, published a video before the game on Wednesday, in which it encourages the fans to open the gates of hell, thereby encouraging violence. They distributed the number Akil Mitchell's phone to their fans, who sent him threatening messages in the last few days."

Needless to say, Hapoel Jerusalem did not like these things.
"AK Athens continues to spread fake news and this time floods the media in Greece with the claim that the management of Hapoel Jerusalem distributed the phone number of Akil Mitchell to the fans in order to threaten him," said the team's spokesperson today.
"I repeat and ask: do not cooperate with these lies."
