In a deposition that began about an hour and a half late due to an administrative error that delayed his transfer from Bryans 2 Prison to the court in Barcelona, Dani Alves admitted today (Monday) for the first time before the judge in the rape case in which he is accused, that he had indeed had full sexual intercourse with the 23-year-old young woman who complained against him

It was the fifth time that the footballer testified, when at first he denied any acquaintance with the alleged victim, but later he admitted that a meeting between them took place in the toilets of the night club "Sutton" in Barcelona, and later he claimed that the young woman only performed oral sex on him - with consent.

Back in February, it was announced that remains of Alves' sperm were found in the genitals of the complainant, and the Brazilian daily testified that he had a consensual relationship with her.

Alves, who appeared to testify at his request and sat before the judge for about half an hour, explained that he had lied in previous depositions in order to hide the fact that he had cheated on his partner, Joana Sanz, who has since publicly announced her decision to divorce him.

Last Friday it was reported that in order to prove the positive nature of the relationship between him and the young woman, the footballer intends to present correspondence between the complainant and his friend Bruno, who was a party on the night of the event.

The contradictions between the evidence and Alves' testimony were among the main reasons for the judge's order to imprison the Brazilian without the possibility of release on bail.

Former Barcelona, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain has been in prison for 87 days.
