Last week it was claimed in Scotland that Liel Abda would leave Celtic in the summer due to a "relationship crisis" with coach Ange Postecoglou, and tonight (Monday) Liel Thomas reports in "Sky Sports" that Ajax is interested in the Israeli national team player, is currently examining his situation and wants to get ahead of other competitions.
Before that, Crystal Palace and Southampton were mentioned, as well as teams from the Bundesliga and the Portuguese league.
The 21-year-old Abda scored 12 goals this season and scored another seven in 41 appearances in all competitions, but was not considered a squad player for Postecoglou (started 10 times in 29 league games in which he participated) and was absent last month due to an injury that prevented him from playing with the team against Kosovo and Switzerland.
Since being purchased from Maccabi Petah Tikva in the summer of 2021 for 4 million euros, Abda has scored 27 goals and assisted another 18 in 95 games in all competitions in a Celtic uniform, with whom he won the double last season and is on his way to another win this time as well.
His contract with the Scottish club ends in the summer of 2026.

Daniel de Ridder, son of an Israeli mother and a Dutch father, grew up in the club from Amsterdam and also managed to play and score in the senior team before going on a trip to Europe during which he arrived at Hapoel Tel Aviv and was a partner in the double in 2009/10.
