The Serbs demand a quick answer from the coach and in the meantime are getting closer to some historical precedents. What records could Bacher himself set in Belgrade?

While Barak Becher and Maccabi Haifa are on their way to a third consecutive championship in Israel, Red Star Belgrade - the team that is conducting advanced negotiations with the coach - is breaking records and setting historical precedents.

If he is appointed, Becher will step into the shoes of Milos Milojevic and will have to meet a high standard in the local arena, at the same time for Champions League matches. Red Star has not lost a league game since October 27, 2021 (2:1 to Radnik Sordolica). It is currently 54 games in a row. On Saturday Red Star

will host the surprising second-placed Bacca Topola and if they get even a draw, She will win the Serbian championship. If this happens, she will equal the record from the 1976/77 season with the earliest championship in the history of the league - six cycles before the end.

But it doesn't end there.

Another record that Red Star will break this season is winning the sixth championship in a row - something that has never been done in the history of the club.

It will be a Serbian record comparison;

Partizan Belgrade won six consecutive championships from the 2007/08 season to the 2012/13 season.

If Bacher is indeed appointed coach of the Red Star, he will be able to break the Serbian record next season: a seventh championship in a row.

Two other club records are also on the agenda: winning the championship with the largest points difference;

The record stands at 17 and currently the gap is 20. And also a third double in a row - something that has not yet happened in the history of the Red Star.

Will he break records in Serbia too?

The talks between Becher and the Red Star have been going on for a long time and a few days ago the heads of the Serbian club made it clear to the coach's representatives that they expect an immediate answer.

On Tuesday, the professional director, Mitar Markala, referred to the fact that he met with Bacher in Israel about three weeks ago: "I have been to Israel many times... We have already announced that Milojevic will continue until June and then we will make a decision. We appointed him because he has a lot of knowledge. Every coach has a different personality, Mourinho is like that and Ancelotti is like that, but what's important is always the final result. It doesn't matter if the cat is black or white - the main thing is that it catches the mouse."
