With the hosts FC Töging and FC Moosinning, two teams that have already dealt with each other in the state league will meet this Saturday.
Moosinning – the game starts at 2.30 p.m. on the grounds of the Töging moated castle.
For seven seasons in a row, from 2014 until relegation last year, Töging belonged to the Landesliga Südwest.
For Moosinning, it was only enough for a one-year guest appearance in this league in 2018/19 in the recent past.
The FCM was relegated back then in the relegation, but against Töging there was a win and a draw in the round of points.
And the yellow-blacks are still unbeaten against the team from the district of Altötting, because the first leg of this season was won 1-0 - like in 2018.
"From a six-point game in the fight for second place" was read in a Töginger press release.
"It's about third and fourth place, so who's the first who doesn't get anything and who's second?" Töging's coach Christian Hutterer explains his point of view. "The Serbs in second are six points away and also very stable," estimates the holder of the DFB elite youth license, who also works in the scouting department of a Bundesliga club, describes the situation.
Moosinning in fourth is already nine points behind SK Srbija Munich.
"Moosinning are a strong team, they proved that in the first leg and I'm expecting a really good game," predicted Hutterer.
He sees his squad just too tightly occupied for the top.
"Five U19 players are in constant action, they need a break from time to time, but we have a lot of absentees, and then unnecessary point losses happen, like in the 2-2 win against bottom side Rosenheim and the 0-2 in Saaldorf."
In terms of results, his Moosinninger colleague Christoph Ball is on the same wavelength as him.
Since the 1: 4 at home against Peterskirchen and the 0: 2 at SK Srbija he sees "the train has left the top".
Most recently, FCM scored 6-1 against Buchbach 2.
In terms of personnel, Ball doesn't have the problems of his colleague, but there are also absences.
As is well known, Dennis Stauf and "Mäx" Lechner have been missing for a long time and were the only failures against Buchbach.
Christian Reiser (ill) and Matthias Eschbaumer will be there this time.
But winter newcomer Noah Nürnberger is back.
