After two nullified draws, a goal by Fran Torres was enough for Barcelona to beat the powerful Atletico Madrid 0:1 and maintain a double-digit gap with Real Madrid, who still have 27 points left in the cup.
After coming on as a substitute after a long injury against Atlético Madrid, Pedri returned to the midfield and took the place of the suspended Sergio Busquets.
Ousmane Dembele and Andreas Christensen are still not in the squad, Anso Fati remains on the bench again.
Rayo is enjoying a good season, away from the bottom struggles and has an amazing record against Barcelona with two wins, a draw and zero goals conceded in the last three meetings.

Atletico Madrid - Mallorca 1:3
A streak of six consecutive victories was interrupted for Atlético Madrid with 1:0 at Barcelona in the previous round, however, tonight the Colchoneros won, in a match where they came up with special uniforms for the club's birthday - a tribute to the first outfit, from 1903, and took another step towards Guaranteed third place.
Matja Nastasic surprised and scored first (20), but Rodrigo de Paul Eisen (45+2) and Alvaro Morata converted (47) with a nice shot.
In the 77th minute, Yannick Carrasco signed.
Getafe - Almeria 2:1
Say a big congratulations to Almeria, who celebrated their first away win since February 2015, thus breaking a streak of 21 games without an away win in the top league.
Luis Suarez decided with a double (7, 58), and thanks to the victory, the guest overtook Getafe on the way to 15th place in the table, three points away from the red line.
