Three days before they meet in the semi-finals of the cup, Maccabi Netanya won tonight (Saturday) 0:2 over MS.
Ashdod and achieved a debut victory in the top playoffs.
Both teams appeared in this game in secondary formations, especially Ashdod which of course also lacked the injured Canaan and Mogis, but Ben Shimon's team was actually better than its opponent in this game.
But the one who starred in Netanya was Itamar Nitzan, who already in the first ten minutes saved goals from Roi Levy and Elton Akultsa and the one who decided this match was Igor Zlatanovich.
Netanya's striker took advantage of a bad mistake by Sahar Hason on the threshold of half time and enjoyed another one by him and his own to secure the victory in the 77th minute.
Zlatanovich scored 5 goals only this season against Ashdod and 7 in total, food for thought for Ben Shimon ahead of the more important meeting between the two on Tuesday.
Ben Shimon, on the other hand, can be quite satisfied with the ability, when as mentioned this result lies and the ones who made the difference were the goalkeepers - Nitzan who excelled at Netanya compared to Sahar Hasson who failed twice.
