Jurgen Klopp: "I feel a little sorry for Chelsea and a little happy about what is happening to her" - voila! sport

Liverpool coach: "Chelsea is an example of how you can't buy a lot of stars and expect it to just come together. They underestimated the process of building a team there"

Summary: Chelsea - Brighton 2:1 (Sport1)

Trouble many half consolation?

Liverpool experienced a particularly bad season, far from the championship fight, without a ticket to the Champions League, after early rejections from all cups and of course without titles - except for the Community Cup somewhere in July.

But in England there is an equally pretentious team, which suffers much more and they are called Chelsea.

And how do you say?

Everything is relative in life.

Jurgen Klopp surely can't wait to start Liverpool's repair process, but in the meantime he's also turned his attention to the Blues' dire situation.

"I feel a little sorry for Chelsea to be honest," said the coach, "I think it's a huge team, but on the other hand it's good to see that sometimes you can't just buy a lot of good players and expect everything to come together by itself. You have to build a team and Chelsea underestimated it and placed impossible demands on the coaches."

Chelsea added a mass of players this season, created a huge load in several positions, did not find solutions for some of the players it wanted to release and has a very long roster.

Klopp added: "You can't have two dressing rooms and two training pitches, you have to create relationships. You have to create team spirit and that's the only reason why I have some joy about what's happening at Chelsea this season."

The German concluded: "Chelsea will be fine, they will be a very strong team next season - I'm just using them as an example. At the highest levels, you can't conduct yourself like that and it's something we won't be willing to do at Liverpool."

"Chelsea will be fine, but at the highest levels it is impossible to behave like this."

Chelsea have lost five consecutive games in all competitions and are winless in eight and have slipped to 12th place in the Premier League.

Frank Lampard recently replaced Graham Potter, who himself was appointed in place of the sacked Thomas Tuchel.

Lampard has yet to hold Chelsea to even a draw and the team has lost all five of his games in charge.
